Late post this week due to sick kiddo (and possibly sick me).
While traveling I heard a story about Lou Reed’s exhibition at the New York Public Library. Something worth checking out, especially his demo tapes. But that’s not why we’re here today.
Something I never realized was that his wife is the incredible artist and musician Laurie Anderson. Growing up I only knew her as one of the pioneering artists making experimental videos on MTV. I never thought of her as more than an interesting New Wave artist until I saw a multi-media exhibition of her work at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Philly.
So as I already posted some Lour Reed in the form of the Velvet Underground, here’s one of my favorites from Laurie Anderson. THIs is one she did with Peter Gabriel, each with distinct versions on their own lbums. Her version is on the mix.
